Rights Repecting Schools Action Plan
Blackfriars Primary are interested in promoting children's rights as described in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC.)
At the start of this academic session we conducted a Staff Audit and then a Children's Audit to guage current understanding around children's rights. We used the audit results to make an Action Plan. The Steering Group are busy in school implementing this plan. To date we have introduced a Class Charter in each class, we have introduced the UNCRC at our whole school assemblies, we have amended our school behaviour policy, we have created a Rights Respecting Schools (RRS) display and we have held a RRS Parent Workshop which was attended by around 70 of our parent group.
